TransCore – Amtech Systems, LLC, a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Hardware Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

Transcore is looking for a design engineer who has a well-rounded background in both electronics design and systems analysis/test. The job will entail working with a team in designing, documenting, and qualification testing new radio frequency identification (RFID) products. The successful candidate will have experience with analog and digital hardware design and will work with other hardware engineers, software engineers, technicians, and project managers as part of the team. The candidate selected should be capable of acting as a technical lead for projects as well, which would involve becoming familiar with overall RFID system operation. The work will also include writing product and qualification test specifications, executing or leading the execution of the tests and documenting results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with internal customers to define requirements and develop system level solutions to meet those requirements.

  • Work with hardware and software engineers to implement customer requirements into TransCore’s RFID products.

  • Design and manage system level test plans and procedures to verify correct operation of TransCore’s equipment.

  • Analyze test data to determine acceptable operation. This will include knowledge of statistical methods for analyzing data.

  • Work with technical writers to provide documentation for TransCore products.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • BSEE plus 5 years’ experience.

  • Must be experienced with digital and analog circuit design.

  • Must be able to write technical specifications and documents.

  • Must have strong organizational skills and be a self starter.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with RF hardware design and/or analysis

  • Experience with printed antenna on circuit boards, antenna design familiarity

  • Experience with Agilent ADS software (RF/Analog design and simulation)
