National Compliance is responsible for overseeing Verizon Wireless policies, processes, people and systems and partnering with business leaders to identify and mitigate financial, operational, legal, regulatory and reputational risks facing the business unit. The Sr. Manager of Compliance UAT is responsible for leading a team of professionals that evaluate planned changes (Enterprise release and change controls) to major systems and develop test cases and execute user acceptance testing to minimize risks to the business.

  • Manage a team of professionals responsible for UAT testing of enterprise systems for process weaknesses and control gaps. Assess and mitigate risks introduced during planned releases and control changes by evaluating systems to ensure proper internal controls are functioning as intended. Lead cross-functional business teams to drive enhancements that improve the control environment.

  • Utilize professional expertise and judgment to evaluate, develop, test and approve proposed enhancements for the assignedVerizon systems, ensuring proper functionality and controls. Partner with cross-functional teams and business leaders nationally to design system enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues involving the prevention, detection and response of control related risks and deficiencies.

  • Lead a team in performing risk reviews of projects to determine control gaps in systems. Prioritize resources across portfolio of systems and enhancements based upon risk to the business.

  • Collaborate and strategize with other UAT leaders to share priorities, test cases, and resources to minimize redundancies and improve UAT efficiencies across the organization.


Must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Criminal Justice, Math, or Information Systems; or equivalent work experience.

  • Five or more years of managing professionals in a fast-paced technology organization.

  • Three or more years of experience testing Point of Sale, Billing, ecommerce, etc. applications with a concentration in operational Compliance, business controls or Finance.

  • Experience in software development life cycle, system analysis and writing business and functional specifications.

  • Experience analyzing current business and system processes for potential areas of improvement, writing test scenarios and coordinating with business and technology partners regarding feedback and sign off.

  • Experience evaluating system process flows, interpreting technical documents, developing test cases that test control environment and executing effective testing within tight timeframes.

  • Experience leveraging auditing principles and methods to evaluate policies, processes and systems to identify business risks and control gaps.

  • Project management experience with the proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently leveraging excellent organization and time-management skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analytics and presentation.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills to explain confidential and complex issues and make recommendations to leadership.

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Proven ability to plan for and manage numerous processes and ad hoc projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize tasks and meet customer requirements for timeliness and accuracy.

  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).

  • Telecommunications experience.
