Bell CaptainAs a Bell Captain with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts how you greet and care for each Guest as they arrive, will show you are a true professional. Through your leadership, you will encourage the Bell team to create memorable arrival experiences for each and every Guest.
The Fairmont Amman will feature 290 luxurious guestrooms and suites including Fairmont Gold, the brand’s hotel within a hotel featuring amenities such as private reception and guest lounge. The hotel’s food and beverage offerings will provide unique concepts designed to add flair and sophistication to an already exciting city.
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Lead and supervise the bell desk in the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to the guest’s room
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Previous Belldesk experience preferred
University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
