Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to assist with implementation and evaluation of the Tailored Mental Health Monitoring and Support (TaMMS) and other Collaborative Care initiatives. TaMMS is a county-wide initiative to increase access to mental health services in safety-net clinics. Candidate will be responsible for recruiting, locating, consenting, and screening participants, data entry, preparing assessment materials, conducting telephonic, computerized and/or paper-pencil assessments, and performing other project tasks. Candidate will be responsible for accurately completing paperwork and updating and utilizing the database, following all study protocols and procedures. Additional study tasks may be assigned as needed. Some limited travel within Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti will be a necessary part of this job. Candidate will be expected to interact with community clinic staff and leadership on a regular basis.

Candidate will be responsible for running and creating reports and contributing to posters, presentations, grant applications , and etc.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or related field. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets (especially Excel), and databases is necessary. Candidate should be organized and possess strong attention to detail. Must be capable of both working in a team and functioning independently, and motivated to learn. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines is also a necessity. The ideal candidate will be able to insert him/herself into a variety of community clinics, communicating effectively and able to adapt to changing surroundings/work flows. You will need reliable transportation.

Desired Qualifications*

A Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or similar field is desired. Experience in research, especially community based research, desired. Previous experience working in community clinics with underserved populations.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position. This is a term-limited position. Funding is currently available for 1 year.
