Course Description

Lecturers in Romance Languages are responsible for teaching sections of the elementary language curriculum under the supervision of a Course Coordinator. In addition, Lecturers are expected to attend course meetings, hold office hours and handle routine matters related to instruction. The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan seeks applicants for a fall-term only Lecturer I position in Spanish language instruction to begin September 1, 2017.

Required Qualifications*

Applicants must have native, or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, as well as prior experience teaching Spanish as a foreign/second language. Minimum education level of Bachelor's Degree required; advanced training or degree preferred.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
