General Dynamics Information Technology Tech Control Trainer in Arlington, Virginia
Job Description: TS/SCI cleared certified trainer responsible for establishing & maintaining Tech Control Station Qualification Program IAW DISAC 310-70-1. Will be responsible for creating and maintaining training records for all personnel assigned to the Tech Control. Will be responsible for creating detailed lesson plans and conducting formal training sessions on current equipment and technologies to include Encryption Devices and Management Tools, TDM Transport, MPLS Transport, Facility Power, Circuit Activation Policies and procedures, & COMSEC Handling. Upgrade and maintain PTCF training/Lab environment to ensure it mirrors production network. Will be responsible for setting up test environment to duplicate and test problems that have occurred in production environment.
Must be well versed in rules, regulations, and standards prescribed in DISA circulars.
Candidate must be able to provide training to subordinates and peers.
Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively to personnel of various expertise levels.
Solid Customer Support Skills in a high visibility environment.
Candidate must have prior training experience preferably military.
Candidate must demonstrate expert level understanding of TDM, SONET, and DWDM Transport systems to include PROMINA, CIENA 3500 & 6500, CISCO-ONS-15454, and NETSCOUT 2700 series Matrix Switch.
Must have working knowledge of Crypto devices (FASTLANES/TACLANES,KIV, KG) and Management software (GEM/KIV-7M Management).
5+ years' experience with Tech Control disciplines
5-7 years as a trainer or instructor.
Key Competencies: Interpersonal Skills Communication skills - verbal and written
Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
5-8 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.
