This includes feasibility, design, synthesis, validation, manufacturing, assembly feasibilityrocess, cost weight investment and dimensional control. The Development Lead will develop best practice, assure conformance to best practices and mentor engineers in the design and release process. This person will be responsible for leading a team of 8-10 engineers.Basic Qualifications:•Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university•Minimum of 8 years of overall engineering experience•Minimum of 2 years of experience in Body In White product design•Experience leading a team or acting in a supervisory rolePreferred Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university•Working knowledge of FCA/Chrysler systems: Web CN, E-CIMS, VPM, Fastcar EBOM•Unigraphics / NX / Catia team center skills•BIW system development experience including high strength steels, aluminum, welding and dimensional control•Development of engineering best practices for BIW•Resident Engineering experience preferred•Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt•Strong written and verbal skills•Ability to work and lead in a team environment•Positive can-do attitudeFCA US is proud to extend to its employees a compensation and benefits package that is designed to retain their talent and to motivate and reward job performance.
