Manufacturing Product Responsible JobJob Number: 1027039Location: Auburn Hills, MIDate Posted: 3-17-2017The Manufacturing Product Responsible (MPR) will interface with the Product Platform, Finance, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Stamping as well as the Assembly Plant Operations to ensure Design for Manufacturing and Product Readiness for Manufacturing. The MPR ensures for Manufacturing that product changes and updates are understood and covered for implementation, funding for changes are incorporated into the programs, Manufacturing KPIs are understood and adhered to as well as any other interfaces for Manufacturing. The person in this position represents Manufacturing at CORE TEAM meetings, both current and new model.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:•Monitor and manage current and new model progress for Manufacturing•Coordinate new model activities and content with the Product Team•Evaluate volume, timing and product for impact to manufacturing investment cost•Ensure the development of the product / process in line with the planning timeline•Coordinate and manage design feasibility templates, technical feasibility, methods and process development in line with product actions•Function as the manufacturing liaison in program and product team activities and meetings•Assure Engineering Hours per Vehicle (EHPV) are obtained for applicable product actions•Assist during process development activities to achieve Quality goals and EHPV defined for the initiative•Coordinate ramp up/volumes between product / process development with Purchasing•Utilize regular meetings with technical teams and executive level reporting to identify target, committed, risks and opportunities•Report, monitor and evaluate Manufacturing and Key Product KPIs to ensure Product readiness for Manufacturing•Utilize best practices to gather, track, and transfer costs associated with engineering product changes•Track and assist with elimination of non-standard operations to the manufacturing process•Follow issues through containment action and establishment of permanent solution•Ensure Program Manufacturing eCIMS are properly assigned; updated; and corrective actions implemented•Travel to launch sites in Mexico and/or Canada as neededBasic Qualifications:•Bachelor degree•5+ years manufacturing experience•Ability to manage a complex project•Proficient in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel and WordPreferred Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline•Advanced degree a plus•Product launch experience•Supervisory and/or project management experienceFCA US is proud to extend to its employees a compensation and benefits package that is designed to retain their talent and to motivate and reward job performance.
