Raytheon Senior Project Management Specialist in Aurora, Colorado

Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Raytheon is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Specialist-IT Project Management to provide leadership management duties for the IT Operations group and leading oversight and analysis of competitive proposals and ongoing pursuits within the Intel Program area. This position requires extensive customer knowledge, understanding of business development/capture processes and procedures and complete involvement with program management reviews. Additional tasks include specific IT focused daily operations, projects or initiatives on current program that achieve customer and Raytheon strategic objectives aimed at future proposal responses. Responsibilities of this position include: · This position is the IT Operations manager for a proprietary customer contract. · Lead an IT organization of 115 personnel, including partner organizations and Raytheon direct reports, responsible for IT infrastructure with daily direct interaction with customer executives and senior managers. · Work with customers, users and the program management office (PMO) to ensure continuous smooth operation of the customer’s IT infrastructure systems. · Work with site maintenance, engineering and PMO to support strategic visions and goals for the program as well as provide leadership to execute projects to achieve those goals · Work with the contract enterprise organization to ensure enterprise processes are followed and support or run enterprise initiatives as required. · Perform and/or delegate responsibilities to collect, format and present both contract and customer metrics in accordance with contract and customer requirements · Functional management of 70+ Raytheon direct reports · Ensure operating policies and procedures are established and followed consistent with Raytheon policies · Plan and de-conflict resource requirements often with resources that are distributed in a matrix organization across many locations · Ensure training needs are developed and implemented · Identify and develop approaches to pursue new opportunities to increase business base · Prepare and present briefs to internal and external executives/customers · Mentor personnel and implement diversity of thought and diversification of personnel to build an organization capable of sustained growth · Lead and execute strategic initiatives and projects in preparation for transformation of customer environment. · Provide capture management support to new Intel opportunities. · Lead and execute Gate development and presentations to Sr LT, responses to customer requests for proposals / information and creation of white papers. · Keep current on advances in the field of Information Technology Required Skills: · Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or 18 years’ experience in lieu of a degree · Experience in new business development, gate reviews, proposal management, design to cost and price to win, and supporting capture management · Must have demonstrable successful program performance and customer satisfaction · Must be experienced in ITIL practices · Must have experience in project management with ability to effectively lead a team to accomplish critical strategic objectives. · Must have experience in Strategic Planning activities and execute to validated and authorized plans. · Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to effectively communicate across teams, sites, and organizations and with the senior leadership team. · Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
