The Manager, Content Management will:

  • Leads the overall content governance process. Is responsible to drive Category and GS leadership alignment on content changes and execute content enhancements. Proactively works with Category leads and GS Sourcing leads to ensure internal and external content needs are driven in the governance meeting. Identifies the gaps related to Content quality and new content opportunities and drives gap closure plan with BU and GS sourcing.

  • Develops and delivers the External Content Enablement Strategy and framework for a robust Source-to-Settle and Spend Management process.

  • Provides global external Source-to-Settle content enablement by ensuring a robust framework, capabilities, tools and continuous monitoring of operational and commercial performance of external partners needed to enable business content owners to drive their strategies, and ensure robust, seamless Source to Settle and Spend Management processes.

  • Responsible for the seamless integration of a robust external content enablement design as part of the end to end Source to Settle process design, specifically ensuring the Sourcing design, processes and integrations are in place.

  • Works with key partners to identify business requirements to drive external content management system changes that support best practices and best in class customer experience.

  • Work across IT and category leaders to drive adoption of Ariba Supplier Network across the supplier base to deliver Source-to-Settle end-state goals.

  • Supports the design and development of content management tools from tool selection through acceptance testing, content reviews and issue tracking.

  • Identifies opportunities to enhance the customer experience through performance evaluations, tool reviews, usability studies, and other trends.

  • Responsible for all external content change management efforts.

  • Develops overall approach, establishes measures and executes the monitoring of all operational performance of the Source-to-Settle external content landscape based on defined business rules; measures effectiveness and compliance.

  • Measures the performance of the services, quality and presence of content based on metrics and continually drives process improvements to deliver best in class service.

  • Monitors operational performance and ensures it is provided to business content owners for accountability so they can ensure external content providers so commercial performance expectations are met.

  • Reviews metrics to identify content gaps and ensures the appropriate measurement strategy to External Content Management effectiveness and measure effectiveness and compliance.

  • Full people management responsibility, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management training and development.

  • Attracts and develops talent to enhance the team's effectiveness.


  • Bachelor's degree and related experience required; Master's/MBA degree preferred

  • 7+ years business experience in Procurement, or other related experience

  • Experience in assessing, design/redesigning, developing, testing, deploying process improvements or new technologies.

  • Content management experience.

  • Developing or leveraging governance structures.

  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and virtual environment.

  • Knowledge of business requirements gathering and process improvement impact assessments.

  • Prior benchmarking experience.

  • Experience deploying new, large scale capabilities initiatives across organizations.

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and leading change in evolving work environment

  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Design Excellence certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of process modeling/simulation and process design/ re-engineering activities.
