Overview: We are concepting and creating marketing assets and experiential events for a partnership between two major national brands. Team they will be working with: 2 Creative Directors 1 Art Director 1 Copywriter What are the must-have skills for this resource? Needs to have great design sensibilities, use of space and hierarchy of information. What are some preferred skills/experiences? Needs to have a mastery of adobe products. Strong logo design is a plus. Conceptual chops is a plus. Comping skills is a plus What are some things that you'll be looking for on the portfolio? Someone that has an ability to problem solve through visual design, not just someone who has a clear aesthetic / style present in all their work. Need to know they can solve client visual problems that aligns with the clients brand not their own. Please note this role has been bumped up to the Sr. Associate level meaning we are looking for 4-5 years or experience.

Requirements: Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create layouts by exploring appropriate design principles such as color, typography, and photographic selection for the brand, organizing elements and usability

  • Provide rationale for design choices, present ides with rationale to Lead Designer, assure design meets business objectives as stated in creative brief

  • Create storyboards for animations

  • Develop creative ideas based on criteria in creative brief and/or direction from Art Director/Lead Designer

  • Develop style of the presentation for existing concepts/directions; determine, along with Lead Designer, the best format to execute upon ideas

  • Edit and make iterations on presentation deck as guided by Lead Designer/Senior Leadership

  • Evaluate a brand's visual language (color palette, logo, font, etc) across a range of media (may include print, online marketing, Web site, packaging, etc.) under guidance and oversight

  • Compare the brand's expression across different channels; document findings

  • Provide recommendations to the client/internal team based on findings

  • Sketch logo and wordmark ideas with direction from Lead Designer

  • Document stylistic rules appropriate for the brand and the audience of the medium with oversight including color palette, typography and logo-wordmark guidelines

  • Work with copywriters on tone and voice for the style guide

  • Ensure quality and prepare deliverables for handoff to developers, client, printers, etc.

  • Create graphic assets with some guidance

  • Create posters/mailers for internal use with minimal or no guidance

  • Potential to work with print manager to spec projects and assist in press checks when needed

  • Could be asked to print and bind comp mock-ups as needed
