Current Need

McKesson seeks a strong and self-motivated Financial Analyst to support the Generics Supplier (Buy-Side) Deals Rebates process. Role responsibilities include: monthly accounting accruals and invoice calculations, external auditor support, dialogue with Gx supplier pricing team, system execution of contract terms, process of monthly, quarterly and annual rebates. Effective communication skills, strong Excel/System skills and accurate / timely execution are key attributes for success in this position.

Position Description

  • Process month-end accounting and billing processes and facilitate billing accuracy with McKesson’s Carrollton Billing Team;

  • Complete internal accounting close checklists and support external audit requests;

  • Perform finance review on the price and rebate updates and validation for supplier rebates calculation;

  • Support supplier contract management and contract documentation for price changes;

  • Research and resolve discrepancies with ambiguous data, providing timely resolution with minimal supervision;

  • Ability to accurately interpret complex agreements and supplier price notifications, understand contract key elements and determine business and financial implications;

  • Utilize various system applications to set up rebates and manage the business mapping;

  • Review supplier contract metadata in contract repository and publish the information for other users;

  • Assist in interpreting business needs for the creation of technology solutions;

  • Partner with Contract Compliance team to support internal and external audits;

  • Work with internal partners and provide support for supplier strategic rebate programs;

  • Process NPO / Gx drug purchases in SAP and liaison with accounting team for proper treatment

  • Track PPA activity and distribute report activity.

  • Provide support to Gx Pricing, Product Analytics, Gx Program, and RNA team for their decision making.

  • Support special projects, including process improvement, system enhancement, ad-hoc analysis, business initiatives.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

3 years of accounting or finance experience

Critical Skills

  • Bachelor degree in related field

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP

  • Prior experience using ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, JDE

  • MS Excel Intermediate skills including proficiency with pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis, charts, etc

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data (examples of looking a financial trend, what types of materials they provide to external auditors, ability to interpret data and explain to other BUs)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Timely and the ability to manage competing priorities
