Current Need

McKesson Pharma seeks a qualified and self-motivated Sr. Financial Analyst to support the Pharma Generics Supplier Relations team. The role will perform rebate validation; respond to inquiries from manufacturers/ suppliers, supplier dispute resolution for Generics supplier income, financial analytics and Vendor Receivable reserve calculations

Position Description

  • Take ownership of suppliers as assigned for tracking of unique billing events, supplier disputes and supplier business changes (i.e. acquisitions and mergers)

  • Able to concisely respond to inquiries from manufacturers on invoices

  • Support McKesson and Joint Venture partners in launching new terms across Supplier platforms

  • Coordinate and collaborate with generic drug manufacturers, Product Managers and other internal stakeholders including pricing, billing, AR and other teams

  • Validate, collect and assemble supporting documents to support the invoices and present to manufacturers for resolution of supplier disputes

  • Participate in supplier calls/meetings and be able to assist with negotiations of suppliers disputes

  • Meet with Product Managers and communicate income recognition and provide alternatives/ options for resolution

  • Ensure compliance to SOX requirements for Gx supplier dispute processes and controls - maintain documentation of procedures and processes

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for finance and business forecasting

  • Track, prepare and present financial metrics and scorecard performance to senior leadership

  • Support special projects, including process improvement, system enhancement, ad-hoc analysis, business initiatives

  • Perform month-end accounting close processes including reserves and external auditor PBC requests

  • Assist in supplier implementation of new or amended agreements to ensure validity of income

  • Prepare financial metrics and scorecard performance to the Controller and VP of Product Management



Minimum Requirements

5+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

  • 5 years of accounting or finance experience –or— 3 years of accounting or finance experience and Certified Public Accountant CPA Certification (or pending license).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Negotiation experience specifically with Suppliers or Supplier disputes

  • Accounts Receivable experience

  • Customer facing communication skills

  • Income recognition experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Collaborative and critical thinking skills

  • Project planning, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience including VLookup, Pivot tables, etc

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)

  • Basic SQL skills

  • Contract interpretation and analysis experience

  • Financial Integrity

  • Generics and/or general Healthcare Industry experience

  • SAP experience or other large ERP system

  • Revenue Recognition experience

  • Experience troubleshooting IT system processes


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant CPA Certification (or pending license).
