Overview:

Manage the creation and timely execution of the Division S&OP process. As part of the S&OP process, manage the demand forecasting process and data, as well as plant capacities and capabilities within the RCCP tool. Ensure all appropriate stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Manufacturing and Procurement) have the data they need to ensure maximum effectiveness with minimum inventory.

Participate in developing the strategy for our business planning process. This includes incorporation of our NPD process into the S&OP, the adoption and use of more advanced planning tools and standardization of our sequencing/scheduling processes within the plants.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the U.S. Windows Group Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP process)

  • Production: Ensure each plant has up to data demand data to use for material and labor planning.

  • Develop and oversee a standard process for plants to plan labor

  • As needed, plan and track finished goods inventory and factor the change in finished goods into the planning process

  • Develop annual inventory glide paths and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in Cash.

  • Develop annual service glide paths and action plans to deliver the corporate objectives for continuous improvement in Service.

  • Track actual shipments by month in $s and Units versus Budget and Forecast.

  • Lead the development of skills and capabilities in the planning organization by determining the set of tools and approaches deployed in planning and production scheduling/sequencing excellence.

  • Work with Purchasing / suppliers to ensure that component and production lead times are challenged and reduced to the lowest possible level in keeping with agreed distribution strategies.

  • Review and manage capacities out to 18 months to ensure that capacities are updated, accurate and adequate. Utilize this 18-month capacity plan in decision making for assignment of new business, and realignment of work as well as identifying the need for incremental additions to capacity.

  • Leads the collaboration with the NPD organization to ensure the high quality of Factory Planning input to the innovation Process (Capacity Planning, What if scenario, Suppliers communication mainly)

  • Implement and maintain a set of standard PGW Division KPI's to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the planning Organization. Publish scorecards and results as per Division guidance and develop continuous improvement plans accordingly

  • Transparently share issues, anticipate Service risks or Inventory impacts with Plant Management and the Division. Proactively anticipate and course-correct to minimize or eliminate potential issues.

  • Serve as influential business leader on the Operations Leadership Team through active participation and support of the site goals as well as the overall business. Collaborate effectively with other corporate functions and departments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education

4 year BA or BS degree.

Experience

5 - 7 years of experience in a management role. Prior experience managing or working in a supply chain/planning role, ideally in a plant environment. Competent user of computerized IT systems – Word, PowerPoint, Excel. 3-5 years of experience working within an ERP (SAP) environment at an advanced level. Experience implementing ERP systems is a plus
