A professional position at Xcel Energy could be just whatyou're looking for.Position SummaryThe HomeSmart Customer Service Representative's primary responsibility is torespond to all new and existing HomeSmart from Xcel Energy customers requestfor service, to answer all customer inquiries, and to help solve problemsand offer solutions in a respectful and efficient manner satisfactorilyresolving issues with one contact. Accountable for individual performanceindicators of attendance, adherence to schedule, occupancy, and qualityof calls to ensure that the overall business objectives of Service Level andCustomer Satisfaction are achieved.Essential Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to potential andexisting HomeSmart from Xcel Energy customers for appliance repair and HVACsales. Assist customers in signing up for the plan, account inquiries,replacement inquiries, cancellations, reimbursements, servicerequests, HVAC sales appointments, and water heater sales. Analyze andresolve customer problems and complaints concerning HomeSmart from Xcel Energyservice billings, payments, and service. Dispatch service requests toappropriate contractors. Process after hours service orders from HomeSmartfrom Xcel Energy answering service.Sell and promote HomeSmart product andservices through various marketing strategies. Offers customers a variety ofoptions to suit their home comfort needs. Including water heater sales andscheduling sales appointments.Perform other specialized tasks and projects asassigned by supervisor and manager. Participate in specialized projects suchas serving on quality teams, committees, and process improvementteams.Administer correspondences to customers including confirmationletters, cancellation and renewal letters, and other correspondence asnecessary for the efficient operation of HomeSmart.Assist in training newemployees by demonstrating and explaining correct policies, procedures,and evaluating trainee performance.Establish and maintaining professionalrelationship with contractor personnel, other Xcel Energy business units andwithin the HomeSmart from Xcel Energy department.Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma with previous customer serviceexperience.Minimum of two (2) years working in customer care,specifically in a call center environment.Basic computer knowledgePreferencesExperience with customer retention_______________________________________________________________________________________________As a leading combination electricity and natural gas energy company, XcelEnergy offers a comprehensive portfolio of energy-related products andservices to 3.4 million electricity and 1.9 million natural gas customersacross eight Western and Midwestern states.
