Center Valley, PA - The Associate Product Manager, EndoTherapy Devices is responsible for marketing and product management of a disposable device portfolio. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle including: upstream input to new product development, new product launch, and managing the post launch business. As part of the marketing team, he/she will participate in the development of annual and strategic marketing and business plans, develop and execute marketing and sales programs to achieve revenue and income targets, interface with customers, sales representatives and in-house stakeholders in support of the business. Job Duties:

  • Participate in the development of long and short-term marketing strategies and plans to increase revenue, maximize profit, and grow market share.

  • Support the development of annual and long-term corporate strategic plans.

  • Provide input to R&D during product review meetings, share customer needs and market trends, provide feedback on new product prototypes, and create new product forecasts.

  • Create the value proposition, positioning statement, key sales messages, and sales rep talk track for the product which they support.

  • Create sales collateral including product brochures, technical reports, advertising, videos, case reports, clinical papers, sales training materials, etc.

  • Maintain responsibility for all aspects of new product launches: developing the launch strategy and plans and leading the internal launch team to ensure successful product launch on schedule and within budget.

  • Track and evaluate product performance and sales results post launch, including product performance and customer feedback through field visits and cadence calls.

  • Evaluate product positioning and messaging for revisions and updates.

  • Share best selling practices with sales organization and R&D.

  • Monitor and evaluate competitive response to new product introduction.

  • Manage key HCP (healthcare professional) relationships, in compliance with Olympus code of ethics and compliance guidelines.

  • Act as the product and procedure expert to drive large account conversions.

  • Organize and lead key sessions during the National Sales Meeting to ensure the field sales organization is fully trained on the product and prepared to execute product level strategies.

  • Organize and prepare for critical GI tradeshows to highlight Olympus products including DDW, ACG, NYSGE and regional shows as requested.

  • Meet with HCPs to understand trends and obtain product feedback.

  • Assess competitor activities and how to position Olympus for success.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

  • External Candidates: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience providing overall leadership in the market as well as evaluating a given market and assessing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and developing and implementing strategies is required; OR, a Master's/MBA with 2 years experience as outlined above is required.

  • Internal Candidates: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years Olympus experience combined sales/marketing/operations/sales support/upstream/R&D/service; OR, a Master's/MBA with a minimum of 2 years Olympus combined experience as above is required.

  • Experience in healthcare and/or medical devices is preferred.

  • Experience in developing and managing physician / surgeon KOLs is necessary.

  • Experience in launch new technologies and procedures is essential.

  • Proven ability to develop and grow business based on procedure-focused sales is necessary.

  • Must have experience in interacting with a diverse cross functional team and strong prospecting skills.

  • Must be self starter, capable of independent action, detail oriented, multi-task/time management, and posses ability to internalize technical concepts, products and services.

  • Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills at all levels, are essential.

  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary.

  • Must have high degree of personal organization.

  • Ability to interact with field personnel, management and customers is necessary.

  • Must possess a high degree of self reliance, initiative and creativity.

  • Ability to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements is essential.

  • Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) as required (generally 15-25%).

  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
