UNC Health Care DATA ANALYST - AORTIC PROGRAM DATA ANALYST in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Location: Main Hospital, Chapel Hill

Schedule, Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 8am - 4pm

This position will work on multiple projects associated with the UNC Aortic Program in data management. The position will perform data collection and database maintance for the Vascular Surgery and Aortic Disease Management Program and Network within the HCS. The position will manage the relationship with the vendor of software product and across the Aortic Network. This will include but is not limited to ensuring the correct data is being extracted and placed in the right data cubes to ensure accurate reporting identifying additional data that is required and how it would be best to compile it. Ensure reports are correct and accurate, and work with UNC affiliates to ensure the same.

Job Responsibilities:

  2. The position will manage vendors, data, and system data across the network to produce the output UNC needs to facilitate our business. They will participate in cross functional groups to improve the product and they are expected to be a leader of any user groups that are formulated.

  3. The position will review other data sources and enhance and adapt based on department needs. He/she will determine if this data should be incorporated and if so will develop a plan to bring the data sources together in the most productive way possible. Once the plan is developed, this position will work independently with constituents to execute the plan

  4. This position will work on multiple projects associated with data management for the practice plan. The position will solicit data needs from our clinical department customers to identify information needs. He/she will then work with the disparate groups to gain consensus on what type of support will be needed, develop plans to meet those needs and then execute those plans to ensure customer satisfaction. He/she will follow-up with customers to ensure their needs are met. The position will also convene meetings with each department and their respective departmental staff to brainstorm needs related to staff productivity. He/she will develop plans to meet these needs and execute those plans. He/she willassist in developing staff benchmarks for productivity and ultimately will be able to prepare staffing models.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Computer Science, research or a related field.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

● No licensure or certification required.

Professional Experience Requirements:/Job Profile

● Two (2) years of data analysis and/or reporting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

● Ability to interface with multiple users across an organization.
