Vantiv Manager-IT Oracle EBS/Financial Systems Development in Cincinnati, Ohio


The Leader-IT Oracle EBS/Financial Systems Development position is a hands on leadership role, which requires extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS & related financial/accounting applications. This position will interface closely with the functional business teams, including but not limited to executives of each organization to understand the business goals and objectives to deliver differentiated solutions. Additionally this role manages and reports on overall system operations and maintenance as well as project coordination while ensuring that application project plans, goals and objectives are aligned with overall business goals.

Additionally, this individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving know-how, and leadership abilities to effectively manage and influence business stakeholders, vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to quickly understand Business goals and objectives to lead, influence and manage Oracle EBS & other financial application systems development programs and projects

  • In depth knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials

  • Work with internal business partners to understand & improve upon current financial transactional and reporting processes, systems, and controls.

  • Define and validate project scope, define product requirements, validate solution design, establish schedules and budgets, and lead and manage IT project team, including vendor onshore/offshore personnel

  • Partner with business-side Product Owner and IT Finance Scrum Master to drive IT delivery of enhancements, projects, and program-level initiatives, including active participation in daily, weekly, and quarterly Agile PI and sprint ceremonies, prioritization processes, tracking progress, identification of risks and issues, and resolution of issues.

  • Define, develop and implement effective enhancement and upgrade release cycles

  • Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture team on solution analysis, business requirements, cost benefit analysis, risk assessment and business impact analysis

  • Lead, coach and mentor other team members, including those that are dotted line reports

Education & Experience:

  • BS Computer Science or Accounting/Business (or equivalent) degree

  • 12-14 years total experience in IT with at least 7-10 years of Oracle EBS

  • Hands on experience successfully implementing large Oracle EBS and ERP-related programs

  • Experience with managing IT development teams using the Agile SAFE methodology strongly preferred.

  • Expertise in technology applicability to finance/accounting and procurement business partners, including Oracle EBS and analytic platforms

  • Foreign localization experience, including VAT and foreign currency processing & reporting strongly preferred

  • Experience with Vertex highly desired

  • Proven ability to interface closely with Business and IT Execs, IT Project Managers, IT Architects and Tech Leads as well as off-shore development and service providers

  • Proven experience in project management and delivering complex solutions on time and on budget

  • Strong verbal and written communication / presentation and demonstration abilities, facilitation, negotiation and expectation management

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
