Vantiv Senior Analyst, Risk Analytics in Cincinnati, Ohio
Our Risk and Compliance team is growing and we are adding this brand new role to the team!
Provide leadership and support for Risk & Compliance (R&C) Office developing data analytics for risk analysis, scenarios/modeling and building a high functioning continuous monitoring program. The role will require strong facilitation and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally within Risk and Compliance as well as building relationships with key stakeholders in the line of business to identify, develop, and implement various risk analytics solutions. Provide direct assistance to Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Office by designing automation routines around existing risk assessment and analysis procedures (such as Key Risk Indicators and qualitative Risk Aggregation) using both structured and unstructured data. Support will also be provided to Regulatory Compliance and Business Risk Liaison roles by advising and collaborating on new techniques to mature existing scenario analysis, risk modeling, and levering data analytics to drive insight into current business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development of R&C Office data analytics to further develop Enterprise Risk Monitoring, compliance monitoring and visualization.
Solid understanding of relational database design and development. Able to develop and implement relational databases using multiple database platforms.
Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data (Big Data) of a variety of types to uncover hidden patterns, known and unknown risks and potential control failures.
Request, gather, validate and integrate data from sources across businesses and functions, then present data in a fashion that can be leveraged for risk assessment, fraud monitoring, and planning purposes.
Assess various industry tools to support data analytics, monitoring and visualization.
Work with data analytical experts and Business Intelligence group to partner on potential projects, refine approach, and continue to develop new techniques.
Work with external industry experts to execute on complex strategy components and accelerate various parts of the data analytics program.
Develop necessary infrastructure and requirements with the business to identify key sources of data, processes to continuously source and manage data and continuous reporting.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor's degree required in statistics, business analytics, management information systems, or equivalent.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in analytics; compliance, risk, or financial services/payments experience preferred.
Computer/Technical: Proficient in Excel and Access; significant experience with SQL and various ETL and data analysis visual (BI, R, Tableau). Webfocus experience is also preferred.
Strong financial, accounting, technology, and/or internal control background.
Proven ability to develop quality ad hoc and standard reports and analyses with minimal direction.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels.
General understanding of business processes, internal controls, and risks.
Ability to work independently yet collaboratively, with R&C teams and Business Analytics group.
Proficient in rational database architecture and advanced queries from multiple data sources.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to articulate complex matters and associated risks to key stakeholders and the business.
Demonstrate sound judgment as well as apply logical/critical thought process
