Vantiv Senior Training and Development Consultant in Cincinnati, Ohio
GENERAL FUNCTION: This position is responsible for leading training initiatives and designing projects that will transform learning into a more engaging and interactive process, through content development and delivery. The Senior Training and Development Consultant will partner with business stakeholders, trainers, subject matter experts and department leaders to translate needs analysis and business requirements into performance based learning. This position will apply advanced adult learning theories into practical blended learning training strategies while managing the overall curriculum design for the programs and processes assigned. This role will design, develop, and implement a variety of highly creative activities and materials to support the instructional goals of the learning solution while utilizing scope documents to define and manage expectations and determine approval stages. The Senior Training and Development Consultant will incorporate the full ADDIE lifecycle to redesign existing training programs, as well as design learning strategies that will leverage eLearning and other delivery methods that will support the acceleration of learning as measured in business performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training and Facilitation 35% of time
Establishes credibility with the audience by knowing the content area, providing relevant examples, and linking material to the audience's experiences and challenges.
Tailors the training to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants.
Uses participants as resources; elicits experiences and examples from participants and builds on their knowledge.
Presents information in a clear, logical and organized way; knows which points to emphasize to increase learning and maximize goal attainment in multiple environments.
Accurately assesses strengths and development opportunities of employees and communicate your findings to multiple channels through various methods.
Coordinate and organize training events and develop training content for these events.
Attend meetings/calls with managers, subject matter experts and learning professionals.
Demonstrates the Vantiv vision, values and competencies in all activities and interactions with others.
Instructional Design/Development 35% of time
Follow ADDIE model and tools (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluation) on all training projects.
Develop eLearning courses and materials using a variety of web-based authoring tools (Captivate, Storyline, Lectora, etc.).
Create, evaluate, maintain and produce effective learning materials to include facilitator and participant guides, job aids, simulations, assessments, activities, performance support and reference tools.
Create interactive experiences, simulations and tests to enhance the learning experience.
Recommend, design and develop creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to, classroom training, eLearning and blended learning.
Make recommendations and modify training programs, as appropriate, based upon the results of training effectiveness metrics and quality review results.
Effectively apply alternative training mediums & methods (self-study, online, blended, simulations) to increase training effectiveness and to accommodate distance learning, learning style and cultural differences.
Develop tools to evaluate and measure training effectiveness using Kirkpatrick's Four-Level Evaluation Model.
Design graphics, illustrations and other visuals to represent complex content, facts, processes and procedures
Write and edit storyboards, interactive scripts, and other learning documentation.
Identify critical success factors and designs evaluation/assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training materials/programs.
Ensure training materials' content is clear, accurate, consistent, and free of spelling and grammatical errors.
Ensure quality of materials and consistency in language, visuals and graphics, style, and format.
Lead and participate in special projects, including the piloting of new and emerging learning technologies, learning effectiveness, learning metrics, course delivery, etc.
Develop strategies and use technologies that leverage digital media educate and improve performance.
Project Management 30% of time
Defines the scope of learning solutions in terms of goals, objectives, deliverables, and milestones to reduce risk and minimize timelines.
Execute end-to-end project management process which can include performance consulting, project leadership, designing, development, implementation, communication of solution, securing resources, controlling project process, project close-down and keeping to timelines defined in project scope.
Collaborate with stakeholders for development of training programs that support business initiatives. Work alongside subject matter experts at all levels of the business to ensure delivery of accurate and timely content and achieve project goals.
Effectively manages interactions with stakeholders, including meeting facilitation, expectations setting, and on-going project correspondence.
Manages and coordinates projects and training activities to completion, including subject matter expert collaboration, agreement and approval.
Works with subject matter experts to obtain the appropriate information to fulfill the detail design specifications for assigned deliverables.
Successfully manages multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines throughout the project life cycle
Researches training and instructional material needs for projects already established but identified as needing change and/or new projects or processes.
Develops recommendations for instructional and/or performance strategies.
Leads or assists in coordination of rollout, including train-the-trainer and content delivery.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in instructional design/e-learning and three to six years related experience (designing and developing instructor led training and eLearning/online training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert facilitation skills, and ability to accommodate different learning styles and engage the audience.
Ability to train and coach various levels of employees, both one on one and in a classroom environment.
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
Full knowledge of the ADDIE process.
High comfort level with technology and ability to quickly learn and utilize new software applications.
Demonstrated experience in partnering with stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective learning interventions.
Ability to effectively organize work, prioritize and manage time in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline and project-driven environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
Experience using variety of web-based authoring tools (Captivate, Storyline, Lectora, etc.)
Experience using social media in a learning environment (preferred).
Extensive knowledge of current and future instructional design technologies (to include e-learning, mobile learning, ILT, etc.) is a plus.
Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
