Robert Half Finance & Accounting Financial Analyst in CLEVELAND, Ohio
This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Performs analysis and provides support to regional senior management with driving improved performance, achieving business objectives and financial success. This position has significant accountability and ability to impact the growth and success of the business directly. There is a need to provide relevant, accurate, timely and actionable information which helps in managing multiple business units and regions. Works closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Financial Analysis team, and the Operational Accounting team. Primary Responsibilities:
Drive improved forecasting and process automation.
Review business unit performance against plan, and create variance root cause analysis.
Manage regional weekly reporting and provide proactive insight and recommendations for improvements
Develop strong financial advisory relationship with the Vice Presidents of Operations and other regional management team members.
Provide monthly analysis, reporting and P&L;'s to field management.
Prepare accurate journal entry and revenue and expense accruals analysis.
Insightful analysis of sales and margin trends that can be utilized to drive business decisions.
Identify and develop key business metrics to assist the operations.
Coordinate, manage and review the preparation of the annual budget for assigned areas
Review CapEx request and create weekly tracking report to ensure team does not exceed annual budget
Review and approve all Regional management expense reports to ensure accuracy with corporate policy and reasonable spend levels
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested or as determined necessary. Skills and Job Requirements:
Bachelors in accounting or finance
2+ years experience
High passion and adaptability
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a high pace environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills
Strong business acumen
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Access. Hyperion a plus.
Public accounting experience a plus
