Kforce Help Desk in Cleveland, Ohio

Kforce has a client seeking a Help Desk in Cleveland, OH.Job Function: The function of the Help Desk is to assist our clients with support for its proprietary software, Microsoft Windows operating system software, computer hardware, computer peripherals and basic computer networking. Customer Support is accomplished primarily by answering phone calls plus using remote support tools to connect into customer computers. Calls are to be handled in a timely fashion and escalated as needed for the timeliest resolution. Additional mission related responsibilities will be assigned as required. Responsibilities: Help Desk:

  • Provide phone coverage for 30-40 calls a day, but not limited to that number

  • Master proprietary software

  • Assist in resolving hardware and software customer issues as needed

  • Respond to customer questions and, or, concerns regarding equipment

  • Update internal records in an efficient, effective and timely fashion

  • Build, and or, configure computers

  • Physically possess the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Assist with special projects as assigned

  • Assist in other department related tasks as needed


  • Aid in resolving customer issues as it relates to the Help Desk's support of computer related equipment

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science; or equivalent work experience

  • 2-5 years' experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word, plus working with Operating System platforms (including Windows 8, 7, and XP)

  • Microsoft certifications are a strong plus along with A or Network

  • Working knowledge of computers and computer networking terms and support

  • Effective analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs and offer long term solutions based on root cause analysis

  • Ability to control pressing situations with composed decisiveness

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Good communicator both written and spoken

  • Make sound
