Summary

As the Chief Development Officer for the Howard Hospital Foundation, the Vice President for Development will plan, manage, and coordinate all fund raising in support of HCGH. Working in close partnership with the President of HCGH and the Chair of the HHF, this individual will develop, implement, and refine the overall strategy for a comprehensive campaign to support Hospital priorities. The Vice President will be responsible for soliciting principal gifts and increasing the major gift pipeline. This individual will manage the Foundation, and is expected to propose strategic and operational plans to advance the Board’s Strategic Plan and development goals while ensuring that resources are deployed effectively. The Vice President will provide staff leadership and support to the Foundation Board. The Vice President will work closely with the President, Foundation Board Chair, Board members and volunteers, and is expected to be visible in the Howard County community.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred. Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising with seven (7) years of major gifts experience required, preferably in a health care environment. Major gifts campaign experience in a health care environment preferred.
