McKesson is hiring a Laboratory Point of Care Specialist to support the New England territory.
The Laboratory Point of Care Specialist is primarily responsible to engage with the McKesson sales force, including Account Managers, Area Sales Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, Corporate and Health Systems Field Vice Presidents. The position is expected to identify and develop new NPT business opportunities, penetrate and retain existing business, to meet/exceed annual sales and gross profit $ plans. The DLBD will drive the implementation of secured business across the McKesson organization and will represent the McKesson Laboratory Solutions organization across the business promoting cross functional collaboration.
Responsible for the sale of certain products or services. Duties involve direct one-to-one communication with customer or client. Performs field promotion work and develops new accounts. Demonstrates products and/ or services and provides assistance in the best application of product or services. Answers all questions concerning products or services and refers questions along as necessary. May coordinate company product support (including technical engineering support) and services to ascertain customer's needs. May close transactions and take orders. May estimate time and sales expenses expected and submit to management. Investigates product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within marketing policies. May analyze records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. Interprets accounts, trends, and records to management. Sells to new and present clients. Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
8+ years sales experience
• Must to be able to travel daily within assigned region
• Ability to strategically build relationships with sales leadership, customers, and vendors
• Ability to take ownership, influence others, and drive sales process from inception to close
• Ability to train and educate a sales force
• Proven experience working in complex situations and negotiating with senior level decision makers
• High level of accountability and the go to resource for both internal and external customers

• Physician Office Lab (POL) experience
• Excel and Power Point proficiency
Physical / Other Requirements
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Travel more than 75% of the time (overnight travel included)
