Job Description

Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates materials, electrical systems, and test equipment. Conducts feasibility, design margin, and validation analysis. Completes empirical testing on new and modified designs. Leads and/or assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel and/or partner organizations in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication, and production tooling.


  • Designs portions of engineering solutions for tooling hardware, electronics enclosures, and test tooling based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements

  • Implements established test plans and parameters for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, safety, reliability, system power measurements & acoustics.

  • Develops collaborative relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical design and development.

  • Participates as a member of project team of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.

  • Ensure delivery on documentation, defects management, cost/benefit analysis, and performance.


Education and Experience

  • Working on obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 0-2 years’ experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience or understanding of electrical drawings/diagrams and software as electrical design tools.

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Understanding of design for electrical panels and wiring associated to production tooling and processes

  • Understanding of power requirements for motors, controllers, heating/cooling, encoders, actuators, etc.

  • Understanding of safety requirements and solutions for personnel safety

  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Working across multi-discipline teams and recommending EE discipline process improvements.

  • Contributing to engineering analysis and judgment that support tradeoff decisions
