Based in Dallas, Texas, the Operations and Maintenance Manager will provide site leadership and be accountable for operations and maintenance (O&M) services for Skylink (Automated People Mover Train) at Bombardier's Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Service Delivery Center.

In your role you will

  • Lead and communicate strategic and functional initiatives to all site employees;

  • Manage operations & maintenance activities and priorities for the site.

  • Develop and cascade employee engagement strategies throughout site;

  • Oversee site budget and contract to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are achieved;

  • Liaise with customer to solve problems, suggest improvements, and determine value-add projects;

  • Develop and assume accountability for strategic Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) initiatives;

  • Lead by example to ensure Managers/Supervisors are fostering a “work-safe” culture;

Map a clear strategy for life/asset management creating opportunity and reinforcing customer intimacy;

Serve as a source of professional advice for solving significant customer problems;

Initiate commercial propositions to the customer for value-added projects;

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees and the customer;

  • Ensure that employees deliver service by meeting performance objectives;

  • Coach, counsel, and develop employees.


As our ideal candidate:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related discipline; a Master’s degree would be considered an asset;

  • You possess at least ten (10) years of operations or maintenance management experience within the transit industry;

  • You participated in contract negotiations and are very comfortable in interpreting and understanding terms;

  • You possess strong leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills;

  • You demonstrate the ability to interpret financial and performance data;

  • You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;

  • You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;

  • You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;

  • You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;

  • Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent;

  • You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
