Current NeedThe Sr. Manager Operations, Transformation (MO) is primarily primary responsible for leading, directing and orchestrating the activities of direct billing/follow up operations. This position will drive collaboration across various support teams. The overarching goal of the MO is to develop and lead an operating team and environment capable of providing consistent, compliant and promised services delivery.
Location: Remote/Telecommuter position. Must be willing to travel 75% Position Description • Management & Leadership o Develop, recruit and retain operational talent required to deliver excellent and consistent AR resolution and reporting for our clients o Implement an organizational structure and vision to deliver on business and client/contract objectives. • Operations Management, Compliance & Service Delivery o Lead project teams to consistently meet or exceed ongoing client metric, production, financial and other office / corporate goals through the effective management of domestic and offshore resources. o Develop expertise regarding clients and their specific needs, requirements and reporting. o Ensure adherence to all aspects of state, local, and federal Billing Compliance policies, consistently. o Maintain and enforce patient / client / employee confidentiality. Evaluate performance of all services functional areas. Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. If needed, design, implement and drive execution of corrective actions to address performance deficiencies. • Financial Management o Understand all operational and related financial metrics associated with each client –forecasting, revenue, collections and reporting. o Identify trends and patterns in all clients AR. o Develop organizational/team competence with respect to clients AR and interpretation of key metrics. o Develop, deploy and monitor KPI as it relates to our clients operational processes that meet or exceed revenue and collections related to our customer performance/satisfaction. o Develop and track key processes to eliminate waste and increase revenue. Monitor for improvement opportunities. • Client Management o Work with and through project team and executive team to provide customer facing support, operational interpretation, project plan management to provide superior customer service to all transformation clients. o Client visits as required to demonstrate competence and value of services provided. o Develop and train staff to work with and through all levels of client staff to ensure seamless approach to our service delivery. o Ensure viable account plans, • Technology Management & Proficiency o Own and develop methods and processes to monitor automation, system performance, outcomes and attainment of client goals. o Ensure all operations and support staff have consistent and unhindered access to necessary automation, tools, and client and McKesson systems and are properly trained on those systems necessary to complete respective functions. Other job duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Requirements7+ years of medical claims experience along with strong management experience. Experience with patient information/claims system processes.Critical Skills 7+ years of progressive revenue cycle leadership and management experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role similar to scope and responsibilities of Manager of Operations position. Experience should include a blend of strategic and operational experience with strong customer side exposure specifically in the Revenue Cycle Outsourcing industry. Demonstrable expertise leading, coaching, and mentoring a team in a billing/follow up operations environment is required. Must be able to demonstrate superior organizational, management, leadership and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of hospital billing systems and software required. Must be well organized, service oriented, energetic, and committed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional Knowledge & Skills Experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Hospital billing operations experience and related knowledge is preferred.
