The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of the three campuses of the University of Michigan. The College of Education, Health, and Human Services (CEHHS) is seeking applications for a lecturer position in the Department of Education for the Fall 2016 semester. The selected candidate would be responsible for teaching the course, PDED 418AM: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training. This course provides the practical working knowledge of the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in preparation for participants to take the RBT Competency Assessment. This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement to prepare students to be certified for the RBT credential.
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting all instructional duties of the course, including teaching, development of assignments, grading, holding office hours for student support, and maintaining a course page through the Canvas Learning Management System.
The position requires that the candidate have a bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or a closely related field. Candidates must have a minimum of BCaBA certification, be in good standing with the BACB and have recent RBT supervision experience. Preferred qualifications include BCBA or BCBA-D certification.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
