The University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is one of the three campuses of the University of Michigan. The Department of Literature, Philosophy and the Arts is seeking an instructor to teach the following Art History course: ARTH 341 Art and Architecture in Early Renaissance Florence, for the Winter 2017 semester (January-April 2017). Appointment is for one semester only, with possibilty for reappointment in future terms.

Currently this classification is considered exempt in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Art History, specializing in Renaissance or Baroque art, and evidence of excellent teaching.
