LinkedIn Insights Analyst in Delhi, India


We currently have an opening for an Insights Analyst who will focus on supporting Insights tools for our Marketing Solutions business. As an Insights Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the richest proprietary data sets to produce analyses and tools that help external marketers better understand how LinkedIn s product, solutions, and ecosystem are creating value for them. The role is responsible for taking the LinkedIn dataset of 400M+ members and using that asset to build scalable solutions to support the Marketing Solutions business.

To be successful in this role, you need to be highly analytical, have a passion for working with data, and be comfortable structuring ambiguous problems and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver solutions and tools.


  • Leverage LinkedIn s unique data assets to create innovative tools to address marketing challenges

  • Write SQL/Hive/Pig queries to extract the necessary data and present the analyses and story either in Tableau, Excel or PowerPoint

  • Analyze the results to generate business insights and actionable recommendations

  • Building cross-functional consensus for operational improvements and partnering effectively with other teams

  • Understand LinkedIn marketing ecosystem, and bring new ideas in social media analytics and measurement to market

  • Develop scalable & repeatable playbook/guides for internal and external stakeholders

  • Serve as a strategic advisor for advertiser relationships as they pertain to measurement

  • End to end project ownership and planning

Basic Qualification:

  • Relevant experience in analytics or consulting

  • Passion for data-driven decision-making

  • Degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or a related quantitative field

  • Experience with data & systems and ability to provide a business lens to analytical & technical problems

  • Expertise with SQL a must; knowledge of Hadoop (Hive/PIG) and Python a plus

  • Experience working cross-functionally with data services, engineering, marketing and sales teams

  • Track record of demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • High integrity, team-focused approach: collaboration skills to build alliances across company

Preferred Qualification:

  • Background in social media & consumer internet with strong advertising/marketing analytics experience

  • Excellent statistical and data analysis skills (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, etc.)

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Design thinker with the ability to translate user feedback into tool requirements
