Vantiv Alliance Manager in Denver, Colorado

The Alliance Manager is responsible for managing Vantiv Integrated Payments' partnerships with its developer/independent software vendor (ISV) partners - the company's referral sales channel. The Alliance Manager will have four primary points of focus:

  • Increase ISV Partner Commitment to Vantiv

  • Increase Vantiv's Competitive Advantage with ISVs

  • Drive Channel Growth

  • Retain ISV Partnerships

The Alliance Manager will work to increase each ISV's business with Vantiv through efforts including negotiation of revenue share structure, coordinating co-marketing activities, creating prospect generation and conversion programs, and gaining additional ISV commitment through enhanced partnership agreements. The Alliance Manager also works to increase Vantiv's technical competitive advantage with each ISV by driving their adoption of the company's value-added technologies. The Alliance Manager's performance is ultimately measured by their ability to insulate ISV partnerships from competitive threats and increase the ISV's revenue contribution to the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop close, credible relationships with assigned ISV partners

  • Ensure retention of ISV partnerships by combating competitive threats

  • Drive ISV adoption of Vantiv's value-added technology solutions

  • Maximize ISV commitment to Vantiv, reflected by executed partnership agreements

  • Ensure developers' compliance with PCI/PA-DSS and requirements

  • Implement investments to drive developer commitment to Mercury

  • Negotiate partnership agreements with assigned ISV partners, including terms of revenue share structure, performance incentives, and co-marketing campaigns

  • Consult with ISV partners to understand current and future technology, product, and service needs, and proactively communicate that information to the Vantiv Integrated Payments Product Team

  • Work closely with Vantiv's Channel Management team to understand dynamics of each ISV's reseller or direct sales channels, and use that information to drive enhancements to the partnership with the ISV


  • Experience in payment processing technology/platform sales, point-of-sale (POS) or other software channel sales, payments channel sales, and/or merchant solutions sales in electronic payments or retail technology markets preferred

  • Demonstrated success in working with C-level executives required

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge required

  • Strategic relationship management and partnership agreement negotiation experience required

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent, Business Administration or Computer Science preferred; or an equivalent amount of education and experience

  • 5+ years sales experience

  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to organize activities without strict direction from management

  • Demonstrated ability to aggressively pursue new business development opportunities

  • History of successful negotiation of long-term partnership agreements

  • Excellent and articulate verbal and written communication skills
