Denver Health Clerical Support Specialist-III in Denver, Colorado
Job Summary Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical duties for the assigned clinic including: patient registration, insurance verification and billing; appointment scheduling and telephone appointment reminders; collection of co-pays; timely updating of all pertinent patient record demographic and payment information; telephone answering and clinic receptionist functions. Assists in the process to re-engage and maintain patients in care.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate. Experience: Typical candidate will have one year of clerical experience working in a hospital or medical setting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Telephone and reception skills. Organization and communication skills. Ability to maintain adequate office supplies and forms on the unit Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines as established by policies and procedures. Bilingual skills preferred. Certificate/License/Registration: Valid Colorado Driver’s license must be maintained at all times. For mileage reimbursement, proof of insurance is also required. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
