A Driver is responsible for inspecting,tracking and maintaining the maintenance of the unit that is assigned tohim/her as well as any equipment being hauled. ADS Driversshould maintain legal DOT and ADS logs, paperwork and driving practices. ADistribution Center Driver is also required to perform the duties of a yardperson as described in the Yard Description and Responsibilities below. Thisposition requires the flexibility to work any day of the week that drivinghours are available as well as loaning driving services to other ADSfacilities. Drivers report directly to the D.C. Manager. This positionrequires the employee to hold a valid Commercial Driver's License.The responsibilities of an ADS Truck Driver include, but are not limited to: Safe operation of all company equipment Report BOL discrepancies Maintain proper communication with customer and FreightManager Manage safe unloading at delivery destination and placeproduct in customer's desired location Maintain an accurate and legal driving log and communicate availabilityto Fleet Manager Timely reporting of ALL accidents, incidents or violations Ensure accuracy of delivered quantities and producttypes Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily paperwork (tripenvelope, RMA's) Maintain high levels of personal appearance in the wearing of thecompany uniform Submit all company-related documents on a daily basiswhenever possible. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational capacity Travel toother ADS locations and provide support in the ADS Loaner Driver program Adhere to company and departmental policies Ensure loads areproperly secured Perform pre/post trip inspections of all equipment Reportequipment and payload problems/hazards Perform in-route inspection of all equipment o Understand andpractice ADS CORE VALUESJob Specifications:A Professional Fleet Driver must meet the following eligibility requirementsat all times during his/her term of employment: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) that isapplicable for the type of commercial equipment being operated Mustmeet/or exceed physical standards of the Federal Motor Carriers SafetyAdministrations (FMCSA) and ADS Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record from all states where priorlicenses where held Must be at least 21 years of age (DOTrequirement for interstate operation) Must satisfactory pass all required drug tests, and backgroundchecks Must pass ADS road testYard Description:A Loader is responsible for safely and accurately loading and unloading alldeliveries made and received by ADS.
