**This position is contingent upon contract award**SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Assistant Fire Chief responsible for Training and Fire Prevention Programs. The Assistant Fire Chief will be the principal person responsible for fire prevention and training of Fire Department staff and Camp As Sayliyah staff. Essential Job Duties• Directs a professional team performing training, prevention, fire alarms and suppression systems functions• Develops and implements the Fire Department Safety program in accordance with NFPA 1500• Ensures the department's annual training program meets NFPA, Army, and DoD regulations• Manages the training programs and administrating DoD firefighters certification program• Oversees fire investigations as required under AR 420-1 specifications including investigation reports to the ASG Fire Marshall and ASG Commander• Manages the fire prevention program with a keen eye determining trends & problems and formulates corrective measures which includes: building inspections, fire investigations, Fire Marshall programs, educations, fire extinguisher management, fire alarm and suppression system inspections• Attends, participates, and plays a leadership role in community events and fire support services outside installation• Effectively manages the fire extinguisher exchange program for ASG facilities
• High School Diploma• Fifteen (15) years combined experience in a military or municipal fire service required. Five years in a senior level with responsibility for directing multiple engine companies, complex fire ground operations and program and compliance management experience• Experience developing a comprehensive training curriculum and programs for use by single or multiple organizations• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 1041: Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications• DoD IFSAC or Pro-Board Fire Officer III certified• Hazardous Materials Incident Commander certified• Meet physical fitness standards IAW AR 420-90, and NFPA 1582, 1583, and 1500
