Lead our team of Royal Service Agents who are at the heart of our communication system; experts in all areas able to manage the call center functions and provide seamless service to our Guests and Colleagues.

Hotel Overview: Fairmont The Palm, Dubai is a world-class property on the iconic Palm Island in Dubai. The hotel will feature 381 guest rooms and suites with two Fairmont Gold floors. A total of eight food and beverage outlets on property will offer international dining options including Szechwan cuisine, a Brazilian steak house plus separate cigar and wine bars. The property will be positioned as a Luxury Hotel joining other internationally branded hotels on the ‘island’, which will generate tremendous anticipation both in the UAE and worldwide. In addition, the high regard that the Fairmont brand is afforded in the region will result in very high expectations for flawless service delivery from day-one.

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Royal Service Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of the Royal Service department and ensure all service standards are followed

  • Ensure all colleagues are up to date with “Royal Service” software system

  • Train all Royal Service colleagues

  • To have a complete knowledge of the hotel’s emergency procedures

  • Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas

  • Establish and maintain an effective communication process with all departments, in particular with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering

  • Attend regularly scheduled departmental meeting

  • Schedule colleagues in accordance with the departmental budget

  • Balance operational and Colleague needs

  • Follow all safety policies

  • Other duties as assigned

Employee Status

Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience in guest relations preferred

  • Previous PMS experience required

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required

  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset

  • Must possess a professional presentation

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Highly responsible & reliable

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting throughout shift

  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
