Responsibilities: The Care Attendant provides personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the client's physical and emotional well-being. This position works in compliance with the Agency's policies, procedures and standards for the Home Health Aide/Homemaker/PCA. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Assist the client with personal cares which may include all or some of the following: shampooing hair; bathing using tub or shower; bed bath; sponge bath; rubbing with lotions; fingernail cares; foot cares; and other cares as assigned. Assist with dressing, grooming and oral cares as assigned. Assist client with eating, drinking, walking and transferring. Provide companionship to maintain the client's emotional well-being.
