Business analysts are independent and focus on report creation based on client need. Based on client instruction on what is needed and how often to run, the analyst will gather the information necessary to create the report and provide the requested information. Through report creation, the analyst can take the information already available to the customer and make it more useful and easier to analyze. Reports can range from cash flow forecast analysis to line item analysys, data base report creation, denial trend reports, charges and collections. The analyst is responsible for recognizing trends and incorporating that in to the report. He or she must look at various situations and determine the logic behind the numbers.
Training will consist of time spent with the analyst team in East Meadow as well as a week system training in Queensbury.
- 3-5 years experience performing complex business analysis and functional implementations.
Proficient in the tools and techniques of business analysis.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Includes the use of pivot tables, formatting, advanced formulas
Proven progressive attitude toward skills improvement, independent thinking, and advanced technology.
Strong ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
Uses data and information to assist in decision making
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience working in healthcare in an office setting preferred.
Medical billing knowledge preferred.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant experience
