Primary Objective Responsible for all aspects of raw material inventory control within local Test Division facilities and associated contract warehouses. Specific areas of responsibility include: inventory management, inventory accuracy, demand planning / forecasting and lean material implementation. Position is aligned with and supports both internal and external customer requirements. Maintains SAP system accuracy and integrity and drives to the most efficient methods of inventory replenishment and management. Major Areas of Accountability Warehouse and Personnel Leadership / Management: S&OP and Forecasting. Inventory Analysis. Local Test Division warehouse(s). Local Test Division associated contract warehouse(s). Employee Management: Manage staffing requirements to provide appropriate service levels to customers. Establish employee goals and objectives and provide direct feedback on a regular basis. Define employee development requirements. Complete employee reviews. Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees. Determines staffing and skill requirements to meet organizational needs, and implements plans to satisfy those requirements. Financials: Defining annual budgetary requirements. Accountable for performance to cost center budgets. S&OP and Forecasting: Enhance S&OP, demand planning, and forecasting processes and procedures to increase functionality for all purchased materials. Provide leadership on data update cadence, communication and compliance. Develop, implement and communicate metrics representing system performance. Develop and implement S&OP process for local MTS location(s) Inventory Analysis: Drive constant monitoring and analysis of inventory trends and levels. Provide key report(s) to business owners to improve effectiveness in managing the business. Publish and communicate inventory metrics. Warehousing: Develop and implement short and long-terms plans to maximize warehousing productivity through the application of lean tools. Drive continuous improvement efforts for parts presentation. Optimize materials transactions. Develop and implement material location identification system. Inventory Positioning: Manage / lead inventory positioning aligned with MTS objectives. Champion materials lean activities, including but not limited to, PFEP, Kanban, & VMI. Manage the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory: Own disposition of inventory per processes and procedures.
