DESCRIPTION: Robert Half Technology is looking for an experienced Security Architect for our Client. The Security Architect will responsible for creating and applying sound security practices in the design, delivery, and operations of IT solutions. The Security Architect reports to the Director IS Risk Management and works closely with Solution Architects and other IS and Business teams. The ASA is the main contributor for specifying components and configurations needed to address security of information usage, transmission, and storage within IT solutions. If you have the qualifications we are looking for, please submit your resume online to email@example.com DUTIES: The successful candidate will: * Focus on application security architecture, design and implementation, reviews through code analysis and hands on testing. Software Development experience is essential, as the function this individual will lead is tasked with security review and the design and development of security controls. * Application security requirements and establishing baselines for emerging technologies * Architecture consulting and formal system Design Review, * Implementation testing through static code analysis, automated tools and manual testing. Collaboration with platform and application development teams to build controls into existing technologies * Driving automation for security control testing into standard SDLC * Develop, maintain, and communicate corporate information security standards with focus on applications and cloud deployments. Establish practices to ensure business value of security architecture and processes * Provide effective leadership in Application Security and risk management by engaging with teams across the Business and guiding partner functions within Technology Risk to drive more efficient and complete continuous assessment of application controls * Provide guidance on policy and policy enforcement encompassing personnel and intellectual property of Client * Work with project managers to ensure security requirements are being met during development and getting tested prior to production. Also collects feedback from the Security and Risks Analysts for exceptions, trends and threats for improving existing and future solutions, and is consulted on providing guidance for imminent security threats. * Execute daily job duties with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems with a high level of Confidentiality. * Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: * IT security domain expertise and 7 years' experience in areas related to IT security, preferably in the financial industry. Understanding risk based approaches, regulatory and compliance issues, and security requirements of financial institutions are valuable assets. * 5-8 years of experience in software development with solid programming skills in Java and .Net. * Systems integration experience in a SOA environment using an Enterprise Services Bus for open standards (SOAP, XML) and proprietary adaptations to specific COTS package interfaces is an asset. * Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures and their specific security characteristics. * Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. * Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. * University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline is strongly preferred. * Education or certification in ITIL V3 is an asset.
