ManTech Program Security Officer in El Segundo, California

As the Program Security Officer you will provide oversight of customer information, personnel, technical physical/AIS and operations of Collateral and SAP/SAR programs. Duties include, but are not limited to:

•Provide dedicated administrative program security support to a Program Office across the entire spectrum of program activities including program formulation, development, and operations.

•Must be familiar with security policy manuals and the appropriate DoD SAP and Intelligence Community (IC) regulations, directives and other guiding policy documents.

•Advise senior officials on a broad range of program security issues.

•Directly supports the government program office and Customer PSO in the development, interpretation, execution and implementation of program security policies and procedures to include CONOPS, OPSEC plans and ISSP. Assist customer in researching and defining security problems and provide solutions. Develop and implement security processes necessary to protect collateral and SAP/SAR information in various stages of the programs.

•Support the government PSO in numerous Community meetings and activities.

•Provide administrative security support for special access program (SAP) document control functions,including sending, receiving and logging classified and unclassified faxes and correspondence.

•Reviews and comments on security support, operating instructions and security adequacy in plans, guides, various correspondences, and communications security support for Collateral, SAP and SCI and activities.

•Perform indoctrination and security education briefings.

•Provides support for security awareness and education programsPrepares and processes personnel access requests (PARs) for billets.

•Establish and maintain personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element.

•Submits request for additional deletions of personnel who are authorized access to SCIFs.

•Conducts security interviews when required.


•A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but hands on experience and demonstrated performance will be considered.

•Six years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in security program protection and security classification management activities related to SCI and SAP for Special Handling is a plus.

•Knowledge of and experience in the DoD, AF Acquisition and/or SCI Intelligence Community.

•Candidate must be knowledgeable of DoDM 5205.07 vols 1-4 DoD SAP Manuals, ICD-705, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (ICD/ICS 705 compliance documents) , DoD 5105.21 Vols 1-3, Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Manual Series, Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 14-304, The Security, Use and Dissemination of Sensitive Compartmented information

•Creative, self-motivated, possess excellent judgment and analytical skills, and display the appropriate initiative to resolve issues and/or solve problems as they arise with a strong customer service focus.

•Must have the ability and following skills required to ensure effective interaction with numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners in a complex and dynamic environment: (Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal/written communication skills with strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills and able to manage the office workflow effectively and posses team building skills, attention to detail, strong grammar, word usage and proof reading).

•Extensive experience in administrative skills in special access programs.

•Must be able to understand and retain enormous amount of technical program information/data and its operations.

•Must possess experience and knowledge of DoD Security Directives, Policies and Procedures is highly desired.

•Handle stress in a fast pace SAP/SAR classified working environment and work with senior military officers and industry leaders.

•Must be able to relate to a diversified customer base and be knowledgeable of DoD operations.

•Capable of working as team member simultaneously and be able to function independently and accept responsibility for assigned actions.

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

•Must be willing to travel if needed.

Security Clearance: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet program eligibility requirements for access to classified information a current TS/SCI is a plus.
