BAE Systems Program Mgr II in Endicott, New York
BAE Systems is looking for a program manager to provide leadership and management oversight of a Power and Propulsion Solutions military project team assuring the project's financials, schedule and technical objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
The basic functions of the job include:
Accountable for all aspects of assigned programs execution( cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, inventory management and customer engagement) and ensuring program commitments are met, having the authority to make cogent and timely decisions related to the project.
Acts as the primary point of contact between BAE Systems and the customer program office, and key customer stakeholders. The program manager will be accountable for subcontracts withthe subcontract team.
Responsible for leading a matrixed multi-functional team.
Working closely across all functions to ensure program success.
Responsible and accountable to the business segment manager for program execution, profitability, timeliness and overall success. Makes decisions that are cost effective to the Company and ensures assigned projects meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit and cash.
Leads or participates in the creation of new business strategies and in the development of strategic and financial plans.
Lead or participate in zero defect projects.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Minimum 15 years of demonstrated experience and successful performance leading and inspiring diverse multi-disciplined teams in a high paced environment.
Experience managing complex development and/or production projects and/or Integrated Process and Product Teams.
Experience interacting and managing programs for military prime contractors and/or the Department of Defense.
Expertise in project management.
Very strong presentation and organization skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong customer relationships.
Experience in new business capture.
Experience in the development and production of complex electronics.
