The physician at the Veterans Health Care Systems of the Ozarks (VHSO) in the Emergency Department will be responsible for the following duties:

Duties include provision of emergency and urgent treatment to patients who have illnesses within the scope of General Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Emergency Medicine. Utilizing consulting services as necessary, they provide care to all patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

TOUR OF DUTY: Rotating shifts of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and night shifts 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Citizen of the United States.

Preferred Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
