Holcim US Maintenance Supervisor in Florence, Colorado

OVERVIEW: PURPOSE The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible of all mechanical maintenanceactivities at the plant. A team of technicians report to the MaintenanceSupervisor. They are also responsible for ensuring maintenance work iscompleted is a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance withenvironmental requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Organize, schedule, and oversee daily preventive/repairmaintenance activities * Supervise, train, and develop mechanical maintenance staff toachieve the department goals in a manner to create employee ownership;create bench strength and succession plans * Complete records, forms, and other paperwork associated withmaintenance activities: including SAP time entry, notifications, orders, etc. * Evaluate and resolve problems affecting overall equipment efficiency * Recommend, initiate and approve requisitions, PM orders and otherassociated SAP transactions to obtain required contractor services,equipment, and supplies * Assist in preparing recommendations for capital expenditures. * Interface with procurement to ensure that all supplies, parts, andmaterials are available when required * Assist in preparing annual maintenance budget and staying within thatbudget * Ensure that employees observe safe work practices and perform workassignments within MSHA and company safety guidelines * Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained * Coordinate maintenance work with other departments to enhance overallequipment efficiency and maximum production * Other duties as assigned. RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS * Assist production department with mechanical problems * Work with maintenance coordinator to execute preventive and predictivemaintenance program * Work with system engineer in improving the plant reliability * Assist maintenance manager in the development of the maintenance budgetand the tracking of expenses * Provide assistance in the mechanical design and execution of plantcapital projects. QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED: Required Education: Associates/Technical Degree Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree Field of Study Preferred: Industrial Maintenance Required Work Experience: 5 years heavy industry electrical &instrumentation experience. Travel Requirements: Minimal Computer and Software Skills: Comprehensive computer software knowledgerequired, including Excel, Word, Project, Auto CAD, SAP, etc. is preferred.
