Florida Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist
Must be able to work early morning and late evenings and Saturday hours.
This is specialized and complex professional public health and nutrition work as a Public Health Nutritionist in the DOH-Broward WIC Program.This position provides nutrition assessment, education, and counseling to medical high risk, highrisk and low risk clients participating in the DOH-Broward WIC Program. This position works with the breastfeeding staff to organize, promote, and support breastfeeding for WIC clients.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Skill in the use of Microsoft Windows based computer software programs.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to provide nutrition education to pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum, infants and children individually or in groups.
Ability to assess nutritional status and develop nutrition education plans.
