Serves as a senior IT Specialist working closely with the DISA Command Center as the subject matter expert specializing in enterprise-wide information systems security policy, standards, development, and installation of specific actions in support of the overall cybersecurity compliance mission.
Provides internal and external coordination and integration collaboration which is often of extreme urgency and of unusual importance to senior leaders within the Department of Defense and to DISA.
Serves as a lead for the Risk Management Executive Operations Cell, directly supporting the Risk Management Executive and the DISA Authorizing Official.
Provides advice and technical expertise to teams of cybersecurity specialists performing collection, collaboration, and presentations of DISA and DoD Enterprise wide network security compliance data, cybersecurity assessment results, implementation of orders and directives and other compliance indicators as determined by the Authorizing Official and the Risk Management Executive.

Attention to Detail Customer Service Oral Communication Problem Solving
For the GS-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-13 if outside the Federal service, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as*experience with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework Assessments and Authorization policy and experience using this methodology to evaluate the security posture of Information Systems for certification and accreditation. Experience evaluating security controls, compliance assessment, host based security tools, vulnerability scanning, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management. *
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of knowledge, skills and abilities, or competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. The individual selected will be subject to a pre-employment drug testing and an investigation in conjunction with granting of a security clearance prior to appointment. This is an Information Security (INFOSEC) position. In accordance with DoD 8570.1-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, selectee must meet Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, selected must meet Information Assurance Certification standards. Selectee must have an approved waiver prior to placement in this position or achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of IA duties. Level 1 certification is required prior to be authorizing unsupervised privileged access.
