Job Description We are currently looking to hire a Sr Internal Relationship Manager (IRM) within the Business Consulting department, which is a part of LPL’s Advisory & Institution Solutions (AIS) organization. The Sr Internal Relationship Manager works closely with the Strategic Relationship Manager and supports the effort to provide a consultative relationship with advisors. There is an emphasis in adoption of LPL products, services and tools to drive and enhance revenue, practice management, and end client service. Client interactions on a day-to-day basis include relationship management at the business owner level as well as with their staff.
The IRM will be responsible for a small subset of advisors within the IRM’s territory and is responsible for developing deep relationships and eliminating the business to business hurdles that prevent a firm from reaching their goals. Success is determined in advisor satisfaction, retention, and growth.
The IRM will act as subject matter experts for products and projects developed around the organization and act as the facilitator and trainer for advisor acceptance and adoption. They will be responsible for keeping advisors informed of new LPL initiatives. The IRM will be resourceful and able to navigate the LPL landscape for strategies to help advisors achieve their goals.
The IRM must be skilled and experienced in engaging in high-level discussions with both advisors and their staff. Additionally, the candidate must understand, utilize, and stay current with industry best practices, financial markets, technology products, regulations, workflow, demographics, and systems knowledge to optimize results. They must be able to understand the complex business needs of advisors and provide viable solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance or similar
Series 7 and 63
At least 5-7 years in an investment sales or client service role
Business consulting or relationship management background in the investment space preferred
Extensive knowledge of the client segment, organization, product, industry, and end customer
Solid understanding of how a Financial Advisor's business operates
Ability to effectively analyze situations, applying solutions to achieve resolution
Effective communication and excellent written skills
Periodic travel required
