Job Description

Cargo Revenue Management seeks to maximize revenue and profitability across the global AA network. The Cargo Revenue Management Strategy Analyst will be responsible for variety of ad-hoc projects and analyses designed to increase revenue, understand performance, and/or improve the department's ability to make profit maximizing decisions. Project examples include:

  • Effectiveness of revenue generating strategies

  • Deriving actionable insights from trends in market

  • Developing and enhancing Excel-based analytical tools

  • Ad hoc projects related to particular market, customer, or initiative

  • Developing a portion of the annual Revenue Plan for a portfolio of markets

  • Leading regular Strategy Calls with designed to improve performance of markets in specific regions

  • Participating in working groups for new technology projects

Core competencies include data analysis and synthesis, teamwork, collaboration, ability to communicate and present to all levels of management. This position will gain exposure to Rating, Pricing, and Capacity functions. The position also offers the opportunity to work closely with AA Cargo Sales representatives throughout the system to identify growth opportunities and create innovative pricing strategies.

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong aptitude for creative problem solving and the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise presentations, insights, and recommendations

  • Candidate must display high levels of personal initiative and thrive in a team environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Access, or SQL are a plus

  • Undergraduate college degree required; MBA Preferred
