Snagajob’s Director of Demand Generation will be focused on creating a demand generation model, by channel, and leading marketing resources/channel owners through the proper execution of all lead generating activities. As the hub of B2B (employer) acquisition at Snagajob, the Director of Demand Generation will have a passion for creating and managing demand generation and nurture programs for both direct sales and self-service (eCommerce) product lines. This role is heavily involved with marketing operations in order to measure and build an attribution model, measure results, and continuously improve program performance within existing channels - both outbound and inbound/site.
As the Director of Demand Generation, you will also be responsible for efficiently generating demand and driving traffic to the website by creating and executing successful lead generation programs, such as targeted email and online marketing programs. The role also includes the coordination of list acquisition, database management and other growth related levers - exploring new channels, new sources of third party data, etc. The Director will work cross-functionally to create detailed plans, coordinate a wide range of activities, effectively communicate status of and solve software/process/campaign related issues with other departments - product, product marketing, seeker demand gen, and sales.
This position can be based in our Richmond VA, Washington DC, or Oakland CA offices.
Develop cross-functional knowledge of core demand generation strategies and set demand generation targets and execution strategy
Illustrate and communicate to senior leadership where leads come from, and why, and offer creative insights on how to increase the lead flow (content, webinars, remarketing, social and partner advertising, automated campaigns)
Develop demand generation targets and execution strategy
Execute targeted marketing campaigns and evaluate effectiveness
Manage list acquisition (e.g. selecting, purchasing, mining, scrubbing, importing)
Manage marketing database (e.g. cleansing, segmenting, analyzing)
Manage email and web campaign launch processes and extended teams (in-house and consultants, e.g. SEM, SEO, product managers) to ensure delivery
Deliver on LP, email marketing, SEM, SEO and A/B testing practices
Test and optimize creative, landing page and conversion funnels
Conduct market research and loop results into management of content strategy
Optimize lead nurturing and lead scoring systems
Create targets, processes and metrics/reports for revenue generating sales channel partners and other referral sources; manage relationships as necessary
Develop cross-functional knowledge of core demand generation strategies
Manage and lead a team of 3-5 performance marketing professionals
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, engineering, marketing, finance, mathematics, quantitative economics; advanced degree a plus
8+ years of online performance-based marketing experience (CPM/CPL/CPA) with a demonstrated history of driving profitable results across more than 3 online demand gen channels
Strong analytical and marketing channel management skills with ability to make decisions based on data and metrics
Experience in managing paid media budgets (SEM, social, etc.)
Experience in managing B2B lead gen and nurture strategies; direct email experience strongly desirable
Proven and measurable track record of driving qualified website traffic that can be nurtured further, or passed on to Sales
Knowledge of behavioral and demographic targeting to optimize existing and new demand gen channels; familiarity with segment driven strategies a plus
Proven experience recruiting and managing strong marketing teams and talent
Knowledge of multi channel attribution modelling is a plus
Understanding of web analytics and conversion optimization techniques for B2B and B2C
Expert in Excel; experience with Salesforce a plus
Good communication skills and ability to translate business goals
