Our client is seeking a Contracts Administrator! Responsibilities will include: Overall lead for the business side of contract planning and performance including budget planning/execution, development and management of prime contract proposals, and acquisition planning. Develop short and long range budgetary forecasts; drive performance to company objectives. Develop prime contract proposals and manage prime contract funds through techniques and risk assignments. Team with departments to perform program management/contract administration and new placement duties which include: recommend bidders, issue inquiries, negotiate proposals, perform cost and price analysis, and prepare comprehensive business-case justification letters to the customer to recommend contract actions; place contracts; monitor and maintain contract financial performance; enforce contract terms and conditions; manage company and supplier communications; evaluate progress and take action to keep contracts on schedule, resolve contract issues, expedite supplier and company personnel; provide logistics support; process, control, and maintain contract file documentation. Perform supplier management duties including rate analysis/negotiation, contract financing audits, compliance oversight. Perform detailed viability, capability and capacity reviews for all major suppliers to address current business environment and other factors. Participate in or lead cost reduction initiatives, lean improvement events, and other company improvement initiatives across cross-functional disciplines (contracts, logistics, engineering, and procurement). Lead special business projects and internal company compliance audits and participate in developing recommendations and solutions.
