Silgan Data Control Analyst in Grandview, Missouri
Works directly with Data Control lead to support strategic and growth accounts. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, calculating and understanding price adjustments by applying exchange rates, understanding raw material actual and index fluctuations and their impacts on material cost and customer price to ensure timely implementation of periodically adjusted customer price adjustments and general price increases, customer margin analysis, completing Return Authorizations and understanding the impact to inventory, sales revenue and other financial impacts, ability to read, understand, and assist with implementing customer contracts, calculate and understand amortization and rebate transactions, perform master data maintenance which includes obtaining an in-depth understand of our products, customer specific reporting and analysis, samples and quote management for Distribution accounts, part number creation and maintenance, credit and collections research and support across three SBU’s. Develop and maintain data files for tracking and audit purposes. Independently and proactively create data systems to ensure consistency of processes and integrity and accuracy of data. Work closely with Materials/Manufacturing sites globally to drive consistency of data. Proactively identify continuous improvement initiatives that will increase efficiencies of the Data Control Team and Customer Service Team. Work closely with IT to find ways to automate data processing. Be self-reliant and lead in the absence of the Data Control Lead. Provide back-up to the Data Control Specialist as needed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Analytical functions including pricing administration, return authorizations, amortization, contract implementation, rebates, master data maintenance, understanding inventory, reporting and analysis.
Problem resolution including order management, leading the follow-up required to get timely turnaround of data routed for approvals, Identification of process improvements, lead/support initiatives to ensure consistency of data across multiple sites, customer complaints support, credit/ collections issues.
Manage quotes and samples for Distribution accounts. Provide CRM management, part set-up, customer complaint and credit and collections support.
Phones, e-mails, and follow-up with Account Specialists and site specific touchpoints. Auditing to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
Three to Five years related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and multi-tasking skills.
Strong computer skills; including advanced Excel, CRM system, Google Mail and Documents.
Must be able to work under pressure and think logically in stressful situations.
